In this tutorial I am going to show you how to blend images. Below is an example.

Begin by selecting the image you want to use and put it onto a background. In this case I am going to use Taz.

Next, click on the layer the picture is in, and then click Layer -> Layer Mask.

Above Image has been resized from 1139x473 to 520x216. Click Image For Fullsize!
If you have done this correctly the image should of disapeared and you should have a black box next to it in the layer panel.

Above Image has been resized from 837x571 to 520x355. Click Image For Fullsize!
Next, select the gradient tool and make sure it is like my settings. You can use the other gradient styles to suit how you want your image blended.

Next, hold shift and click and drag the line down. (you do not habe to do thi)s

Above Image has been resized from 592x478 to 520x420. Click Image For Fullsize!
Now your image should look similar to this.

Now, press CTRL + U and you should have the hue/saturation window pop up.
You can adjust the colours on this as you please. Just make sure colorize is selected.

Above Image has been resized from 755x720 to 520x496. Click Image For Fullsize!
Now, if you feel it still hasn't blended properly, you can adjust the opacity of the layer with the picture in like I have done.

Above Image has been resized from 769x608 to 520x412. Click Image For Fullsize!
And that is it. Hope you have learned something.
